| Applications for the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards 2019 are now open. North and South Lanarkshire Councils have launched the|
search for this year’s top businesses, and are inviting companies to submit applications for the ten categories of award. “Lanarkshire has a strong local economy, which has seen an increase in employment in the last
year and a regular increase in the number of businesses locating here,” said Councillor Allan Graham, Convener of the Enterprise and Growth
Committee at North Lanarkshire Council.
“Our annual awards are an outstanding way to celebrate the
achievements of local businesses, highlighting their successes and
innovations. “They are also an opportunity for businesses themselves to
review their progress, recognise the work of their staff and raise their
profile. “We would like to hear from companies who can tell us what
makes them different, how they have developed and grown or how they deliver excellent customer service.”
All the information businesses need to make an application is available at www.lanarkshirebusinessevents.co.uk and it’s free to enter. The award
ceremony will be held at Motherwell Concert Hall on Friday 31 May
when the achievements of the finalists will be celebrated.
The award categories this year are:
Best Business – up to 10 employees; 11-50 employees; and 51+ employeesBest Family Business
Best New Product or Service
Apprentice of the Year
Community Impact Award
Best Food and Drink Provider
Employer of the Year
Customer Service Award
Chair of South Lanarkshire Council’s Community and Enterprise
Resources Committee, Councillor John Anderson, said: “The annual
awards have become a real highlight for Lanarkshire and showcase the
fantastic range of businesses we have on our doorstep. “I hope as many
